Try to get her to lay in a chair with arms.  thus her head can be propped up
some on the arm of the chair and maybe that will help.. 

ofcourse some hounds do this naturally.. my boy riley does.. loves to have
his head on the arm of the futon bed sometimes.. 

Another possibility would be to see if you can get her to lay her head on a
pillow or her on a big pillow or her whole body on a big cushion from a
sofa, and then a pillow on top of that for just her head.. 

its possible that if she gets comfortable, she'll be able to sleep .. but
someone should still watch over her to make sure she's getting rest and
hadn't succumbed.  If humans can fall asleep in bad positions and loose air
flow, houndies can too..
