[Dailydrool] Housetraining rescues who've lived outside

I read the post about GGBR's 63 rescues and the comment about how they've lived outside and may need to be housetrained.  While this is certainly a possibility, miracles do happen!  Fred and Annie came to me having spent their lives outside as well.  I never even thought about the housetraining issue (part of the reason I didn't want a puppy!) until my dad mentioned it the day they were to arrive...uh oh!  I work full-time, and it could've been a disaster, but somehow, they did great!  There were some issues with peeing in the dining room, but my sister's dog had stayed with me for a few weeks and peed in there, so I think that that was part of the problem.  They somehow knew to wait until we went outside.  Perhaps I just lucked out, or maybe they realized that they had a good thing going on and didn't want to screw it up!
