[Dailydrool] Perfect Water Bowl

I've never seen this water bowl mentioned on the Drool, so I thought I'd share about it.

We just ordered the Road Refresher Bowl made by Jolly Pets. It was designed by a woman in the UK. It is a three-piece bowl originally designed to be used in the car, but we're using it as our main water dish. It has little velco squares on the bottom, so it sticks to the little mat we use under the bowl. The snap-on top has a lip to keep the water from overflowing. The part that really makes it great is the floating disk with the X shaped hole in the middle. It lets just a small amount of water through the hole, so the dogs don't dunk their entire snooter in the water, bringing out a spray of water and dripping through the house.

Initially the dogs were a little leary of it, since they really couldn't see much water. They adjusted pretty quickly. As they lap up the water, the disk lowers, and more water comes up. The disk catches most of the floaties. The design also slows down dogs who tend to "tank up".

The best part is, it comes apart totally, so the underneath side of the lip can be cleaned well. It is also dishwasher-safe. With two bassets, we probably fill it a couple times a day, but the water is fresh and clean.

It is available on several sites in the UK and the USA - you're best bet would be to do a web search on "Road Refresher Bowl." The prices vary, but we paid just under $20, which included shipping. Check it out!
