[Dailydrool] The Will To Live

Momma here. maybe its just me, but sometimes I look at the photo's of the horrible condition that some our hounds are found in and it just destroys me. Sometimes I can't look. Weak at heart, weak somewhere in there I know, I feel ashamed to admit that. Last night I went to Beckie/Bess?? website at www.droopybassetrescue.com and oh my, the pictures of this houndette ripped my heart out. I told myself, we have to turn the negative into a positive here-I could not stop the tears, but I thought, you know, this one has the will to live. Just like Elder Clara, there was still a fight left in that bag of bones to continue, to make it, the battle she must of had is one no animal should have to face. I know she is one in way too many that this happens to, especially the seniors, especially now in these economic times. 
I look at the pictures and wonder what she must think, to be clean, to have food, to be warm. Makes us all step back and think.
To me this is the blessing of rescues. And the will to live.
