Carmen, I have been following your story and I wanted to tell you how
inspiring it has been for me as a fellow foster mom and a basset slave
to a little girl who was so frail thin when I first adopted her that you
could see her ribs expand under her skin when she took in a breath.
(Now she's a little round butterball and spoiled like you'd never
believe! Ha ha) I am touched every time I read about what you did for
that little boy and how lucky and blessed he is that you came into his
life. I know sometimes it feels like there are so very many that it
becomes overwhelming and you feel so sad that you can't do more, but I
try to remember what someone said once, (probably on the drool...but I
don't remember), that you may only be able to save just one, but to that
little one that you saved, it means the whole wide world. You will have
a friend for life with him, I know it. He won't forget what you did,
and now he gets to show you for the rest of his happy days just how
grateful he is! Snooters to you and Kelvin, and thank you for sharing
your inspiring story with all of us.

Jessica L. Sutton

Big bassety snooter kisses go out to all who have lost their little
fur-babies. Our hearts are with yours.
