"Someone posted about one of her boys suddenly being finicky and now eating
off a plate. She naively wondered when this would end or where it might
lead... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Don't give in to him! He will NOT starve himself. I
speak from experience~ next thing you know you will be cooking variety foods
to get him to eat. You'll be serving him by hand- and I mean that literally!
TRUST ME on this. Give him his food and either he eats or not. If not, then
after 15 minutes pick it up and he skips a meal. He will NOT starve. ( all
this of course assuming there is nothing medically wrong with him to have
caused him to lose his appetite). TRUST ME... I have been there- am STILL
there nearly 14 years later. Doing it different the next time around - yeah
right!"

I agree completely. They will not starve. Dont start what you can't turn
back. Cowboy and Rupert pulled this stunt on me recently when I switched
their kibble from lamb forumla to chicken. They refused to eat the new
flavor. Worried mother, I of course donated the brand new 40lbs of food to
the shelter and purchased the tried and true lamb formula, all within a
couple days. (Keep in mind that I only switched to chicken in the 1st place
because I thought they'd want some variety - HA!)

Nope. Now they wouldn't eat the lamb forumla either. To make sure they
weren't sick, I grated cheddar cheese and mixed it in the food with some hot
water. Ta-dah! Both boys happily devoured every last piece of kibble. Now
they won't eat if they dont get cheddar cheese and hot water. Last week
James made tacos and my first question was "did you use Cowboy and Ruperts
cheese? Ugh, now I'll need to run out and buy another block so they can eat
breakfast tomorrow morning."

I swear, like Angelika, I'll be doing it differently the next time around.
Yea right, I just keep telling myself this!

Cheesy drool to all,
Kacy
