I have four hounds who need this discussion.  At least twice a day they 
have barkfests.  Especially if I am on the phone or trying hard to hear 
something on TV, just like toddlers.  I'll let you know if it works, 
LOLOLOL.

 from then on she began going to her kennel, burying her head in her 
pillows

and flannel sheets and barked into them until her fit passed.  fits are 
 rare

these days but her actions are still the same, into the bed, bark bark  
bark,

growl and bark some more, then turns around , walks back out and is 
happy  as

a clam.  absolutely amazing to me!  i didn't know dogs like  this 
existed!
