[Dailydrool] Thank you from Chili's Food slaves

Sorry for taking so long to respond back to the Drool community. Both Reenie and I were overwhelmed by the kind words and messages that were sent to us after our Chili went to the bridge. Even though he was 15 years old, it was so sudden. On Monday of that week he was woofing at everyone and acting puppy like. By Wednesday he was lethargic and had stopped eating. I rushed him to the vet and the vet did some blood work to check for cushings and kidney functions. Nothing was apparent in the blood work. The vet wanted to keep him overnight so he could check his urine first thing in the morning. At 8:30am the doctor called me and said that Chili was brought out of the kennel and was having trouble breathing. While he was being checked he passed away. It is still so very painful and I see him out of the corner of my eye every day. The loss of Chili comes less than a year after we lost our Daisy. We love having senior hounds around the house and will rescue another when the time is right.
The Hounds, Reenie and I would like to express our thanks for all the kind words from everyone. I have saved all the private emails and will respond to everyone individually.
Thanks and Drool,
Lee and Reenie Grant
Dodger and Huntley.
