Valerie asked about what "Action" Jackson would have to do if he
entered the BoardWaddle Basset Olympics.  Well, first he would have to
have a drug test - that boy has to be on steroids!!  (Ask Drool Mom
Nancy about what happens when your hound runs faster than you and you
don't let go of the leash.)

We always start off with the hounds running the 10-Meter Sprint,
followed by the 15-Meter Hurdles (with many hounds slamming on the
brakes right before the towering 6" high hurdles), and then the
hilarious High Jump (where the bar starts at 6") and finally the most
popular event, the Obstacle Course, where the hounds run through a
tunnel, traverse the up-and-over, leap over the broad jump, waddle to
and fro through the weave poles and sprint to the finish line.

Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals are awarded to the top 3 finishers in
each event as well as framed certificates.  We also have a consolation
prize in each event called the Bassetude Award for the hound that
causes his owner the most trouble.  (We think that Jackson has an
inside track on one of these babies!)

The Basset Olympics are always a lot of fun and we get a great crowd.
It's a perfect way to kick-off Boardwaddle weekend!

See you there!

Bob & Sandy
