Right. This is a basset newsletter. Hardly the forum in which to discuss whether we "approve or agree with this comment".

Why not set a good example? Stay on topic. Ignore the misplaced remark, and it goes away. Reacting only gives it "legs" it doesn't merit.

I'm wondering if you approve or agree with this comment in issue 10:


"[Reduce greenhouse gases. Teach a liberal sign language. ? 1997 Duff]"


I thought this newletter was about  bassets and those that love 
them...there are other venues for "Duff" to
express his opinions
