My daughter, who is a dog lover and rescued both of her dogs, also saw
Marley and Me. The difference is that she loved the movie, thought it was
very well done and recommended it highly. She did say, though, that it was
not a movie for everyone; however, if people have read the book first, they
will understand some of the humans' frustrations. Everyone, I am sure, will
have different perspectives when they see the movie; however, because of the
issues that Marley had, and the destruction he occasionally caused because
of those issues, I don't think many people are going to consider buying a
cute little puppy because they saw Marley and Me or read the book.
Actually, the story might deter some people from even thinking about buying
a puppy. JMHO, folks.
