The LowDownHounds of Oakrydge are sending drool to all those in need. Some very speshul drool for the amazing Miss Twinkle Toes and her foster Moms. Congratulations on her first solo flight and earning her wings. We will all be anxiously waiting to hear how her surgery goes and wish her a long and happy life.

I think I may have an OEBE candidate here. Miss Bobbie Sue has decided that it's great fun to raid the outside trash cans and distribute the contents all over the yard. Landscaping? Bless her dear sweet little heart, she's even willing to retrieve and drag it into the house to show me the "prize" reward from her efforts. The latest being one of those fly catcher bags full of dead frozen flies. The smell was awful! Now we are tying the lids on the trash cans with baler twin. Yesterday she tipped two over and was desperately trying to get the lid off when I caught her in the act. I got that "WHO ME?" look that bassets do best. Trash cans were hauled away yesterday to be taken to the dump. She looked so disappointed when I let her out this morning!

Like Donna, I have tons of allergies. The Rainbow makes it possible for me to have all these bassets. Without it I know that I would have alot more problems with my alleriges. Emptying the water bowl can be a messy job especially during the mud season when there's sludge in it . The biggest holdback (for me) was the price but I decided to go for it after borrowing my son's demo machine. I've not regretted my decision. I had a brand new Hoover Wind Tunnel self propelled bagless that I bought after doing much research. We had brand new carpeting less than two months old in our new home and I had been religiously vacuuming all 2000 plus square feet once a week. I could not believe the amount of dirt I got out of the living room carpet with the Rainbow! You can also get a carpet cleaning system for it. It costs extra but it does a wonderful job. I also use it as an air cleaner. I set it up in my bedroom and turn it on low and let it run all day. No more stuffed up head in the morning. I should never need another vacuum because these things last forever. My mother had one that was more than 20 years old that still did a good job. If I were going to replace it, I'd get another Rainbow. I am not affiliated with the company.

You can show a dog in veteran's class that is 7 years or older. My veterans that were show dogs when they were younger just love it. They go out there and strut their stuff like there's no tomorrow. They definitely enjoy being in the ring again. It's fun to show a veteran. There's no pressure there. They get to go to a show and be in the ring again.
