[Dailydrool] Bassets & Dachshunds

I have both.  I have two bassets right now (Gertie and Jolly) and I have 
four Dachshunds (Willie, Karly, Dinker and Buddy) and one foster Dachshund 
(Christie - Karl calls her Little Girlsie or Barracuda).  All get along just 
fine.  As a matter of fact Willie cleans Gertie and Jolly's face and ears 
for them and they seem to really like it!!!!  Gertie isn't much of a 
cuddlier with any of the others but she will let Jolly lay close to her. 
Jolly on the other hand doesn't mind any of them curling up with her.  I 
have pictures of Jolly and Willie curled up together when Willie was just a 
puppy!

I do love my Bassets but I also love my Dachshunds and my Yorkies!  I guess 
I just don't prefer one breed of dog over another!

Chris Dowd who is a member here has met all of my kids and she was really 
taken with Willie even though she is a basset person!  Actually I think it 
was more that Willie took to Chris!!!!  He pretty much wouldn't leave her 
alone!  Poor Chris...she was probably glad when it was time to leave here 
and go back to her bassets!!!
