Jacques sounds like quite a character. I'm so glad to read about him, since I have not been a drooler long enough to have savored his original stories. Rest in Peace.
 
The ice situation in Kentucky sounds absolutely awful. I am sending warm thoughts to those trapped there. Recently, when we had to vacate our home along with hounds for a termite tenting, I had luck finding dog-friendly lodgings by typing "dog-friendly hotels" (in my state) into my internet search engine, and "dog-friendly" into the vacation rentals section of Craigslist for my state. That wouldn't help, of course, if everything is shut down in Ky.
 
It was such a pleasure meeting Nancy and Marty Cohen recently. Thank you for stopping by to see me on your vacation.
 
I'm so sad about all the recent trips to the Bridge for so many. Good luck to the 15 year old kitty. How did the 16 yr. old kitty who was ailing last week do?
 
The "what kind of dog are you" quiz was interesting. So far no two droolers who have posted have come out the same. I came out a border collie! Are basset slaves really so different from one another? Come on, Bev, you did not come out "vicious"! I've never heard of that breed of dog. Vicious-la, that Hungarian dog perhaps? I always thought it would be fun to name a dog "Swaz". Then, when people asked me about his name, I could tell them it was short for "vicious-swaz".
