[Dailydrool] Treasures

Kahuna had a fun afternoon - while I was out organizing the garage, he pulled my purse off the counter. My wallet was pulled apart, all cards have teeth marks in them, but at least the money ($40) is intact. A few receipts are unrecognizable. And I found a mini circuit board/computer chip - I started to pray for my cell phone. I found the phone without a mark on it! Then I found a little rubber piece with the buttons for the car doors - my keys! I found the key chain, with the remote popped open...sigh. Those things are expensive to replace, need to be ordered from the dealer. The circuit board looked to be in one piece, so I snapped everything back together - missing the emblem for the driver's side slider, but the rest is ok. I went in the garage to check it out and found both sliders open on the van. Apparently chewing the remote, Kahuna had managed to open all the doors. Well, I was able to close them with said remote! So other than spending all afternoon calling to replace cards, a hearing the reps laugh when I tell them why, we aren't much worse for wear. And I will keep my purse behind closed doors from now on. Silly mom! What was I thinking leaving it on the counter? 

Oh, the other thing was to rescue Kirby the Saint when he crawled under the back steps for shade, even though half the yard is shaded, and got stuck. I had to help rearrange his elbows and push him back so he could wriggle out. 

It's been a full day.
