[Dailydrool] Happy Birthday Sister Daisy-July 4th!!

Momma here, July 4th, is Sister Daisy's Birthday!! She is 9, and had her birthday bath today.She has been racing around like a kid today, she warms my heart, and makes me smile.We love her so.
A couple of years ago, I wrote this for her birthday. Of all the things I write, this always stuck with me. I will write it again, just for her.

Alive to see My Birthday-
Happy birthday to me-Daisy, and happy 4th to all. May everybody with 4 legs get a special burger in my honor cause I am alive to see a happy birthday. But boy, it was a close call-here is my story.
I lived in Tennessee at a house, well the people had a house, I had a chain, but they moved, I didn't. They left me on a chain and after a long time I didn't move anymore, it was hard with no food or water and somebody finally called for help for me. BellyRubs Basset Rescue came, and the neighbors came out and gave the nice rescue lady my AKC papers, the old family left them too. That's how I know today is?MY day. I had a hard time, I had grade 4 heartworms, and was awful sick. My foster Momma was soo good, she got me well and had another houndie there at the same time, Clara, she is 11, the people threw her out in the woods to die, and Clara and me were together, safe, and we had food! Our foster Momma was the best, she didn't care that my bark was funny-somebody had cut my vocal cords too. 
Well, now to the good part, me and Clara have a forever home thanks to the rescue, Mama seen my picture on the internet and waited for months till I got well and came and got me and Clara too! We finally hit the jackpot. We have food soft beds, a great vetman, and a huge yard to run and play. And I seen a special bag of toys for me today. I am excited, its almost too good to be true. Be happy for me today, life is like something I have never known before.

Sister Daisy is a example of how important the rescues are-today we celebrate her day, and all the hard work the rescues do.?Daisy we love you!!
