[Dailydrool] animal memories

I think all animals carry memories both good and bad. We've seen it in the houndies, but it is most evident in our oldest. She's a 20+ yrs cat and when we rescued her in WA she was in terrible shape. She had cancer and was anemic with fleas. When we took her home after the surgery we had to confine her to a small bathroom. I gave her my pillow to sleep on. To this day she insists on sleeping on my pillow when I'm not in bed and in my hair when I am. She also refuses to go near an open exterior door. It's as if she is saying, "look lady, I am NOT going back out there!".
The hounds remember, too. Tiffany sees the nebulizer she used to use and runs and hides. Lily has a large dog show her some attention and she will run yelping to me or the he-hound (my husband, who I swear is one of them!). And to this day Brianna will growl at Asian men (she was sold off a fruit cart to her previous owner). I just hope that the hounds and felines remember how much we love them.

Drool to all in need.

PS I vacuum everyday (I'm allergic to the kids) and I still have tumble houndies!
