<<Since boyslave #1 has moved back home I am no longer a person of interest
to bassets unless I have food.>>

When I read that, I had to laugh. For many years, I was not a person of
interest to dogs. They flocked to my dad and brother. Though my brother was
not the most reliable of people, dogs adored him (so much for depending on
your dog to check out a human's character). There wasn't a dog in this world
who didn't love him.

But today, especially in our household, I'm generally the person of
interest. Jane adores Drew. And since Drew usually feeds the dogs now, I'd
think they'd flock to him. But when it comes to going out or seeking
affection, I'm usually the person of choice. Right now, following my
surgery, I have a hard time holding on to three pulling hounds, but guess
who they all want to go out with. I wonder if they think I need more
exercise to feel better.

I wonder what it is that makes some people dog favorites and others less
than interesting. Any ideas?
