Well said, Robert. 

 

When I turned over to today's page, I stopped to think about James and his amazing relationship with Fred (and his moving posts to The Drool).  I then chuckled thinking about the story James once told about waiting for the bus and seeing the basset hounds.  I believe he wound up missing his bus, but what a great story!

 

We all love our hounds, but James's story has a special place in my heart.  I miss seeing your posts, James.  I think of you often, particularly today, and hope you are doing well.

Subject: [Dailydrool] Today's Daily Drool Calendar Hound


I'd ask all 1000+ persons that have a Daily Drool Calendar, plus anyone that wants to join us, to hold a moment or two aside in your day, look at the hound on today's calendar page, thinking good thoughts, wishing well, and taking note of the special hound that had James Bankston as a slave.  
 
See that happy hound Fred, enjoying one of the few quality moments he had left, if ever I've seen a hound look to be smiling, I'd say Fred's up there in the select few hounds that have a smile captured well on film.
 
May any tears shed today, James, be those of joyous remembrance.
