[Dailydrool] how I leave dogs in cars

hi, nancy here,  long time no post but I read everything,  I had to chime in on leaving dogs in cars,  we have one of the 8 at our house who insists on going to the store we solve this problem by having two sets of keys each., I or my husband will leave bear with the car running,  windows up, car locked air on full blast .  he only tolerates being left in the car because he knows we will return with a ginormus chicken strip. and I am  never gone for more then 10 minutes, and we can see the car from the store.

Bear is not a basset. he is a big fuzzy saint bernard, ..so to make this basset related,   none of my bassets will ever get into the car willingly  they are too smart for that.  they know there is a slight chance of heading for the vet  and they will have none of that..even knowing that  they might risk not getting a chicken strip.
