[Dailydrool] Annual Cookbook Fundraiser- Utah Friends of Basset Hounds

Utah Friends of Basset Hounds is getting ready for their 4th Annual Cookbook. This year it is Countercruiser’s Guide to Outdoor Cooking & Grilling. There is a picture and brief write-up of your pet on one side, and your recipe on the other. This year it is not limited to bassets, so other dog breeds, cats, birds, ferrets, turtles-- any pet can be in it. We expect this to be the best cookbook we have done. There are categories for meats & fish, veggies and fruits, sauces--submit a recipe for anything you can cook on a grill. 
You may enter as many recipes as you'd like. The fee for submitting the first recipe & picture includes 1 cookbook at $12.00, our “early dog” special price. (This special price will be available until September 1, 2009 so order lots now!) All additional recipes and pictures are just $5 each. Our deadline for all recipes and picture submissions is August 31st. This will only give us about 2 months to put the cookbook together and have it ready for holiday gift giving. So get your recipes to us now! 
There is also be a contest for the front cover. (Bassets only for the cover, please.) There is a $5.00 entry fee for each photo. Maybe you could get your basset to actually do the cooking/grilling or maybe just catch him or her in the act of dining on the picnic table or “grill cruising”. The slave of the basset chosen for the cover will receive a one year paid membership to UFBH (a $55.00 value).
This is a UFBH fundraiser, and boy, do we need the money. This is fun to do, great for gifting, and you are helping us pay the vet bills down.
