Ahroo Brudder Elwood,

 

Dis be Dumplin!  My
foster mama tol me youz comin to SLOBBERFEST on July 11 and she can’t wait to
meets you!  She has you book and
eberyting!  Me, Dumplin would like to
meets youz too ‘cause I’m one of dem womenzz you be talking about and --
what dey call – a wescue like youz.  My
foster mama tells me you be da handsomest boy and dat you help da other
houndies what needs da help, too.

 

My foster mama gotz me from what dey call da shelter because
nobody was lookin at me cause I was called – you know, da “senior” doggy (but I
pwomise to be much, much nicer to you than Elder Clara).  My foster mama took me out of dat place and
got me bathed and all pretty again.  But
den I went to Auntie Judy’s house for a month cause I was sickie and had da
kennel cough.  Auntie Judy took good care
ob me, but now I all better and back with my foster mama – which bwings me to
my reqwest.

 

Brudder Elwoods, I needz yo hep.  Pwease tell my foster mama to take me to see
dat ANIMAL CUMMOONICATER dats coming to Slobberfest – her name be Shirley
Merrill.  Maybe Shirley can tells my
foster mama dat I like it rite where I is and dat she should keep me!  I don’t mind dat there are other wescued
houndies in da house wit me as long as I gots my foster mama to feedz me, lub
me and tek me for da car rides.  I LUVS
da car rides cause den I can stick me hedbone out da window feel da breeze
flappin my ears back!
