[Dailydrool] Miss Dallas the new angel ATB

Dear Wendie,
I know mere words can never express how sorry we are that Miss Dallas' time came so unexpectedly.  I have learned that it is never easy to let them go even when they are ready.  I am so sorry that you didn't have more time to prepare yourself though I am not sure that it makes any easier on we who are left to pick up the pieces without them.  

Miss Dallas was surrounded by your love as she left on her journey.  I believe that love is the light that shines brightly to show lead them on the path to the Rainbow Bridge.  We have observed a moment of silence in honor of your special girl.  The girls have had there special treat in celebration of Miss Dallas' life.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I don't know, I am still stunned and just heartbroken.  Dallas was the sweetest little Basset.  Looking back,  the last month -6 weeks starts to make sense,  her loss of weight, the bloat symptoms that she had after every meal,  her not responding to drugs for her UTI;s that she was constantly having.  She had gotten down to 31 pounds,  and her norm was 40.  
After hearing that she was probably in some pain, with the ulcers on hers gums and tongue,  and that there was nothing they could do,  I brought her to my vet and we let her go.   We had to wait a bit,  and I knew it was right, as she just curled up in my arms on the blanket and slept, pretty much even as they injected her.  I held her, letting her know she was loved by many,  and a few hounds she should make sure she checks in with at the bridge as they could show her the ropes and most importantly, the buffet.  
 
Hug you babies a little tighter this evening.  The time is never enough.
