[Dailydrool] Falling over & disorientation?

Yesterday evening my husband was scritching Sally's ears, like he always
does, and she started falling forward and ultimately fell onto the floor and
it took her a few seconds of struggling to make her way back onto her feet.
At first we thought perhaps she was having a seizure, but she was fine for
the rest of the night.

This morning, Sally was laying on her back and my husband did the same thing
-- rubbing her belly and scritching/mushing up her ears and she jumped up
really quick and stumbled around in a dizzy circle and sort of fell over
again. She hasn't ever done this before and we're thinking that mabye she
might have some sort of inner ear thing going on? She seems OK to do normal
activities and she was fine on her walk today but we're still going to take
her to the vet on Monday. The only other thing that has been "weird" with
her the past few days is that she's been eating grass like it is going out
of style, but hasn't vomited (to my knowledge).

We haven't yet dealt with any ear problems in our bassets -- does this sound
like something that could be consistent with a presenting ear problem?
