[Dailydrool] Do dogs get 'roid rage?

Boomer is on a tapering schedule for prednisone for stenosis of the spinal
canal in the cervical vertebrae (wobbler's syndrome). I took him to the
specialist when he started falling down more and seemed generally more
unstable. Since he's been home, I've seen quite an improvement in his
balance, no doubt due to the steroids. We're on week 3, getting ready to go
to 10 mg every other day.

I phoned his regular vet today to find out what the negatives are in
continuing on this path of treatment, and he said Cushing's disease is a
major side effect. He thinks the every other day program might be good for
Boomer, at least until I find the money to pay for his surgery.

Any droolers have any experience in this area?
