[Dailydrool] Basset Sighting

Looks like Stowe, VT is the place to see and be seen LOL. I was out in the parking lot with Zuma and Sage and a car pulled a U and in to the lot right next to us. A very nice couple hopped out after rolling down the back window. While they were all over Zuma and Sage, they directed me to their back seat where I saw Sam. Sam is a wonderful 12 1/2 year old Basset they rescued from Rhode Island some years ago. Sam had been on a nice hike with his dad and was napping, though he did raise his head and enjoy some pets. I didn't get the slaves' names, but told them about the drool - they were not familiar with it. How fun! 

Everyone with me is settling into the routine. Unfortunately. Bud wanted to go out at 0530 and stood at the door of the room saying "WOOF" and stomping his feet. Got those boots on FAST and him out the door to get him quiet. Barney is "Ahroo"ing at the others because they have bones and he doesn't. He has buried the same bone under my pillow 4 times now. I keep giving it to him to shut him up. He buries it, then realizes he is the only one without a bone, gets upset and starts singing. Makes me laugh at home - not so much in the hotel.....so I keep pulling his bone out so he can bury it again. My pillow is getting really slobbery. 

So I'll scoop up some of that drool and send it out to those in need! Especially little Haylee that the surgery goes well and she can finally be pain free.
