Yep I agree there's a joke about this. 
``Two patients limp into two different Canadian clinics with the same medical complaint. Both have trouble walking and are in pain.

The first patient is examined within the hour, x-rayed the same day and has a time booked for surgery the next week. 

The second patient sees the family doctor after waiting three weeks for an appointment, then waits another 20 weeks to see a specialist, then gets an x-ray and then his surgery is scheduled for 6 months from initial exam. `

We in Calgary have one open 24 hours a day a hospital but of course it's expensive but well worth it. I have no idea why they get sick on the weekend.
And to add to that  during christmas holidays I know of a dog who got sick in Victoria (they had the money too) and died cuz Christmas holidays cuz vet on extended holidays.  She died and shouldn't have.
I   get sick during holidays and could I find a good doctor - finally gave up and resorted to hospital. I dread the christmas holidays for this reason.
Guess that's what you do.
P.S.  Could the lady who organized the Calgary Basset Waddle contact me online? It's about the basset patent bag I had at the Waddle a lady was admiring? Need her name. She was taking videos? And she took closeups of Miss Becky
