Dear kind and loving Drool Friends,

We just wanted to let you all know that after 8 long and heartbreaking
weeks, the Out of Africa hounds and their momslave Karen are slowly
but surely starting to put their lives back together again. The loss
of our Dadslave has been a very hard loss to bear and the hounds have
taken until this week to stop sitting at the door at 18h15 in the
evening when Dadslave came home, they finally seem to understand that
he is not coming back this time. They will be more than a little put
out when Grandad slave leaves on Sunday as they have been spoilt
rotten for the last 8 weeks, but I will do what I can to keep them
happy.

We will be moving down to our dream house on the coast in Wilderness
near Cape Town (about 400km's away), but not in August as originally
planned but probably in January/February 2010 which is roughly
mid-summer here, this is due to waiting for estates to be settled etc
and I still have 2 properties to sell here in Johannesburg that I own
outright and I need to do some repair work on them before I can sell.
I also have 14 years of stuff to sort out in the house I am currently
living in, so that could take a good deal of time to do too. The move
will be closer to my family who all live in Cape Town anyway and will
mean that I can see them all more often. I spent 3 days this week
down at the house in Wilderness which is currently under construction,
we do brick and mortar only, no wood in South Africa as a general
rule, because of wildfires in the area, so construction of a 500
square metre house takes 6 to 8 months and the architect and I made a
few more changes to make life a little easier for me living there on
my own. The property is about 16 kilometres outside of town, so
security will be important and most of the changes involve just that.

I just want to thank all the wonderful droolers who e-mailed and snail
mailed condolences, they were all greatly appreciated and brought me a
great deal of comfort. I am lurking on the list at the moment as I
find it hard to deal with all the Hounds leaving for the bridge, but
We send Drool to all in need and you are always in our thoughts.

Once again Dear Drool Family, thank you so much for all the support
and rest assured that in the fullness of time we will find out
feet/paws and participate more fully in the Drool again

Much love and Drool to all in need

Coco, Piper, Whisky and Momslave Karen
