[Dailydrool] update on Fred aka Bodhi

Fred was rescued from the O'Fallon area near St Louis.. Bodhi is 11 years old and came into rescue very overweight with curled over nails and hardly able to walk. He was not altered and had no shots.

 

Bodhi had his first visit to the vet in a long long time. No surprise that he has heartworms so Thurs. he will go in for his first testing; he has a pinched nerve in his spine. His paw was rolled and knuckled down by the vet and he could not get it back into it's regular place. His bloodwork has been sent out to be tested for his Thyroid. They want to do xrays I guess for the spine as it's between two vertebrae. He weighs 62 ½ lbs. Weight reduction will help with that pinched nerve. He is unable to be fixed at this point because of the heartworms. He is certainly getting exercise at our house. He gets along fine and doesn't pee or poop in house. He is being taken back to vet for his appt. on Thurs. which was supposed to be to get him fixed but now it will be for his heartworms. He's doing ok though and at our house on a pillow right now.
