[Dailydrool] Itching, upset tummies and drool

We want to send drool to all the houndies and houndettes who need it. I don't remember all the names but we read and worry about them all. We know drool helps and have a lot to send.

Miss Marley is still itching. Not as bad but the itch is still there along with the bald spots. She is still on her antibiotics and is getting her shower torture (for us anyway) twice a week. The vet hasn't called with the lab results but she said it might take two weeks. She is very clingy and goofy when she had benadryl in her.

Ninja had a very upset tummy last night but seems to be better this morning. I don't know what caused it but she was eating grass like mad right before bedtime. Her dinner made a reappearance but that seems to be it. At least she got to the throw rug by the door so I could wash it. Right now she is draped over my leg and is very calm and happy. We'll see what happens to her breakfast.

Maggie is sleeping backwards in the chair at the moment. She has become a not so little stinker, getting into everything she can find. She is pulling things off counters and other surfaces at an alarming rate and not to eat either. I guess she is bored when we are all gone and can't stand to sleep that much. If I was more comfortable, I would leave them outside to chase the squirrels and birds but they bark so much someone would complain. I also think they might try to escape.

Shelby is opening up and showing her sweet little personality. She loves her belly rubs more than any dog we have ever had. She makes the cutest sounds when she wants something too. She tells us if the water bowl is low. She is a camel when it comes to water and will drink an enormous amount at a time. I wonder if she didn't have water all the time where she lived before. We keep two bowls full for everyones slurping pleasure. The cutest thing with Shelby is to watch her sleep with Nic. She is usually right up against him and under the covers. Definetly not an early riser unsless she thinks the others will get her breakfast. Even Dan, the one who is hair phobic, picked her up the other night, put her on the couch and rubbed and talked to her for quite a while.

I need to get the teenager up so we can start the merry-go-round once again. Snores and sighs from Southern Illinois.
