Did I miss this about Elwood? Yes it sure helps to get notes from those who
understand. 
  Do you all ever think about where these dogs/pets  come
from like how do they find us.  And just who are they - a former
pet, friend etc? I have a book I got at Amazon that is titled 'The dogs 
who found me' by  by Ken Foster. Makes one think a bit.
Like 'just who is your pet and how did you really get him?.
