[Dailydrool] Hacking cough

You might have your hound checked by a vet. When our Jane had the 
Unidentified Stomach Object removed, the specialist discovered she had a 
heart valve problem that is indicated in part by a hacking cough that 
usually happens in the morning (Jane also seems to have it late at night, go 
figure). The vet told us that it can be easily controlled with a common 
human medication, but fortunately it was not bad enough for us to have to 
medicate Jane yet. Evidently this problem is very common in older dogs.
I'm no vet, and I hope there's no real problem with your hound, but you 
might just want it checked out.
