[Dailydrool] Old-timers; Cider vinegar and ears

I've been around (very much a lurker) since 97/98 ... first with
Bella, (whom we lost in 2003 at the ripe old age of 14 and a half),
and Bridie who left far too young in 2000 when she was only three
years old. This house is currently ruled by Bonnie (who'll be 10 next
year) and Bertie (seven this coming January). Life without Bassets? I
really can't imagine it. It's hard to realize where the time goes ...
though with a birthday approaching I'm not sure I want to consider
myself an "Old-timer"!

Cider vinegar and ears ... Bertie has had on-again / off-again
problems with one ear for about the past 18 months. Antibiotics,
earwashes, cultures, you name it, we seem to have been through the
lot. (Including the Blue Power treatment, which was no help
whatsoever). Three or four months ago an acquaintance recommended
trying an ear cleaner that consisted of cider vinegar, witch hazel,
and distilled water, in equal parts. I did. The difference has been
quite amazing and, touch wood, enduring. Regular use seems to be
keeping things under control ...
