[Dailydrool] Basset Weights

I have two female bassets and they are as different as night and day.

Lilie is 7 years old and will never have a weight problem.  No matter how 
much she eats, she's never gained too much weight.  She's about 42 lbs. and 
is a petite, slim basset hound.

Daffodil, however, is built much differently.  Right now she weighs 64 lbs. 
at 2 years of age and she is built like a canister vacuum cleaner.  She will 
have to watch her weight as she gets older (and she may actually be 3 years 
old -- bad mommy! who can't remember) because she's probably going to edge 
up as time goes by.

Different body styles and different looks.  Daffy's vet hasn't said anything 
about her weight but I am going to ask about it next time we go in for 
yearly checkup.  When we go in for nail cutting we're all so concerned about 
getting out of there in one piece that other questions seem unimportant.
