[Dailydrool] Lenny

Grace and Lady have a big brother named Lenny.  Lenny is a lab/malinois mix.  He's been a great brother to Grace and Lady and a wonderful foster cousin to various foster bassets.  
 
However, Lenny could use lots of drool. He's being treated for IMHA (immune mediated hemolytic anemia). In addition to antibiotics and prednisone, the vet added azathioprine to his daily meds to try to "jump start" his bone marrow. His PBV (packed blood volume) has ranged from 14 to 17 - the normal range is over 30. Since 9/28, he has had 8 blood tests and 3 sets of x-rays (to check for internal bleeding). It's been so hard to watch as Lenny's health continues to decline. Finally one of the vets mentioned the "C" word. If he doesn't respond to the azathioprine in 10 days, it is almost certain that he has hemangiosarcoma.
