[Dailydrool] Calendar Day - Out of Africa Bassets

Today is the Calendar Day for the Out of Africa Bassets and it is also
Piper, who is the Hound in the middle of the picture's 9th birthday
today the 11th of October 2009, Whisky the Hound on the left of the
picture's birthday is tomorrow, the 12th of October 2009 and he will
be 6.  Coco the Hound on the right will be 10 on the 1st of February
2010 and she is the Alpha Hound in the pack too.  They all have very
distinct personalities.  Piper is a very laid back and loving hound,
nothing fazes her at all.  Whisky is the exact opposite, very
excitable and a non stop talker who will gently nibble you if he wants
attention which is most of the time.  Coco is a true lady and is the
hound most likely to end up in your lap of leaning against your leg.
I just want to wish all my houndies a Happy Birthday and assure
everyone that they were all thoroughly spoilt today.

It was a bittersweet day for me, as you all know I lost my beloved
husband and the Hounds Dadslave Andrew on the 27th of January this
year and with everything that has happened I had forgotten that I had
a page in the calendar for today and when I turned the page this
morning, it hit me like a ton of bricks all over again.  Thankfully I
have my darling hounds who all sat around my feet and just radiated
love.
