[Dailydrool] crystals in the urine

Droopy had both calcium oxalate and struvite crystals in his urine; LOTS of
them.  the vet put him on the science diet food, which i maintained for
quite sometime.  frankly, the gas that it caused to come out of droopy's
rear became unbearable (room clearing, wake from sleep, what IS THAT SMELL
unbearable).

i did some research on the content of the SD food, and tried to find a
comparable substitute low in minerals and protein, and also lower in
calories since i wanted to keep his weight steady.  i found candidae
platinum was something relatively close, and switched droops to that.  he
has been on it now for 2 years and has not had anymore UTIs or issues
related to crystals in his urine.  he also has much much less nuclear gas
escaping from his exit end.  we are BOTH much happier.  ;o)  good luck!
