All this talk about trying to teach bassets which stuffed toys are ok to play with and which aren't made me think of my mom's Beagle, Riley. Years ago, I bought my sister a stuffed rabbit who wore glasses. His name was Seymour. Riley would always go into my sister's room and steal Seymour (and, in the process, chewed off his glasses.) One time, when Seymour was missing, we actually found him in Riley's toybox...I guess he figured that if Seymour was in there, then we would all just accept the fact that Seymour was his! Fast forward a few years, my sister is now married, but Seymour still sits on her bed. She and her husband were watching Riley while my parents were away. One day, my sister was sitting in the living room, and in trots Riley with Seymour in his mouth!! He was probably mad that my sister had stolen "his" Seymour, and taken him to her new house!!

Rose, Annie (I don't like to play with toys) and Fred (all the toys in our house belong to ME!)
