[Dailydrool] Rolph's big day

I mentioned a while ago that I started to take Rolph to beginners' agility class.

I never thought he would be any good at it, partly because he's a bit of a gulumpher and partly because he's Rolph. I sort of imagined him looking at the equuipment, deciding very firmly he was not a performing monkey and going flat basset.

I was wrong. After qualifying for agility by charming the trainers in obediance class (yes, I am talking about Rolph OEBE), he went to his first agility class and his tail did not stop wagging. He adores agility and whereas he'll never be fast and nimble like Clara, he really concentrates and is very precise.

Today was his first competition (he's done a total of 10 weeks classes, with a break of 8 weeks in between). He did two clear rounds and won paws down. He has also been moved up to intermediate level. That took Clara over a year!

We'd rather not mention that Clara came LAST in her class.

Here are a couple of pics of Rolph with his winnings
