[Dailydrool] stinky necks and RESKU

As a dog groomer in a former life, I saw LOTS of stinky bassety necks. I used to call this a bassety fungus amongus and treated it with an anti-fungal shampoo. The most important thing was always to dry the neck as well as possible after washing and rinsing very well. Malaseb shampoo is my shampoo of choice - good for pits as well as necks and the whole rest of the Basset!

But the second part of this was (and still is) that I washed (and still wash) all collars after doggy baths. Nothing worse than putting a dirty collar back on a clean dog! I wash mine by hand with antibacterial dish detergent and then hang them up in the sunshine to dry. In my dog grooming days I would use the dog shampoo and then attach the collar to the crate while the dogs dried. Lots of skunked dogs came in to me with the owners not understanding why their dogs still smelled.....well.....the collars still smelled!!!

I have a special RESKU offer for DROOLERS. Got 25 books signed by both authors - Diane signed them in California and sent them on to me in Floridia. I have 17 left after a flurry or orders today! So, while they last, I can offer you collectible copies of RESKU signed and dated by both authors!! $11.95 plus $2.50 s&h for the first book, just an additional $1 postage for every book ordered over one! paypal to my4hounds at hotmail.com or e-mail me for check mailing address. $2 for every book sold goes to the rescue of your choice. I have nice checks to send to BARNI, Senior Hounds Abound, HoP, AZBHR and several others this month! You can get6 a preview of the book on Amazon.com or http://resku.homestead.com/ but pls order from me so I can make the donations to rescue organizations!
