[Dailydrool] Moving....

Hello all - want you to know I've been reading and having the kids send drool as needed. It's been a whirlwind since I was laid off and trying to find a new position. It looks like we finally have some good news...doG willing and the creek don't rise, we will be moving to Lake Placid, NY and I will be joining the staff at Adirondack Medical Center. The interviews went well this week and I loved the location and the hospital. While touring the operating room, the scheduler said she knew of a house and gave me the contact information. The previous OR director has moved and is looking to sell her house. I spoke with her this morning. She has a lovely house, including a finished walk out basement with a doggy door to a fenced 1/2 acre yard. You can cut through the woods in the back and get to one of the main cross country ski trails behind town as well. She is willing to rent the house for 6 months, allowing me to sell mine, and then we will do a private sale, saving us both money in the process. Let's hope I get the job, since I already have a place to live!!! I am going back up to Lake Placid on Tues, to meet Marion, my prospective landlord, and look at the house in person. I also got a lead on a pet sitter (who also does house cleaning!) while I was interviewing as well. And the CEO of the hosptial is already planning on my bringing Kirby and Ace, the two therapy dogs, to the nursing homes. 

Drool would be great to help grease the works and hope the job offer and paperwork continues as planned. I hope, with everything else falling into place, the job itself will too. 

My grandmother could use a little drool too - she's 90 and fell (again) a couple of days ago. This time she broke her leg. It has been decided that she needs to go to the assisted living side of the community where they live as my grandfather can't care for her anymore. She is very depressed and has stopped eating. I am flying out to Minneapolis on Sunday, just for the day, to see her and will return late that night.
