[Dailydrool] Demanding dogs -- the nose

The story of Blossom sitting next to her Mom on the loveseat and drooling  
onto the laptop for attention reminded me of Blueberry.  She always sat  
next to me on the couch while I worked on my laptop, too.  When she wanted  
attention, she would nose me, then paw at me, and finally give me The  Look.  
This always worked.  But one day I was rushing to make a  deadline, and could 
spare no more than a few absent-minded pats and murmurs of  "just wait a 
few minutes, sweetie."  Suddenly, whap, she took one of those  big old paws a
nd deliberately slammed the laptop cover shut -- I barely  got  my fingers 
out of the way.
 
Okay, that succeeded.  Work could wait.  Love always came  first.
 
How I wish that she were here next to me right now.
