I just wanted to let everyone know, if they didn't already, that 'the  
animal planet' will be airing the half hour
episode of 'breed all about it' featuring the basset hound.
It's probably the one produced a few years back but it's pretty good  
and here's an opportunity  to get it on DVD, for those with that  
capability ...

It will be aired at 9:30 AM EST on Sunday morning, September 27.

also, since I am typing here at 5AM with my newly adopted six year old  
Milo (his name for now) snoring quietly by my side as we share the  
couch. I first saw him at the GABR waddle last Sunday and after a week  
of consideration , adopted him yesterday. He has bonded to me  
immediately, has learned the use of the doggie door (food on either  
side works wonders). He is somewhat underweight (43 lbs), having been  
found as a stray with heartworm wandering around  in Oklahoma.
The vets at basset rescue, both here and Oklahoma have him in great  
shape and he seems to have adapted nicely to his new home here in Indy.
There will never be another Tulip, but someday , and probably soon, I  
will be saying there's never going to be another Milo..........or  
Archie, or Henry....or ??
