I would say bassets are very intelligent jus tthey have a basset agenda

afterall

they are smart enough to get us to lift them, us to spoon feed them, us to
wait for them on a walk, us to carry them when they no longer want to walk,
us to go get the ball we just threw..

other dogs learn to do tricks...basset are smart enough to teach us to do
the trick heheheh

to me that is beyond smart
