[Dailydrool] zyrtec for allergies?

Sadie has horrid allergies.  While the Salmon Oil has really helped her, the spring grass allergies are back with a vengeance.  She is taking Zyrtec 10 mg once a day to help her get through this.  The only side effect that I see is that she drinks more water.  The dose for Zyrtec is 5-10mg per day OR 0.5mg/kg daily.  I buy the generic equivalent from Costco to keep the cost down because Sadie and I both take it. 

Of course you should always discuss the use of any new medications with your vet. (my disclaimer)
