Good morning droolers and droolees

Morse has been suffering this year for the first time with allergies.  He had red spots come up under his legs and on his belly and then they started scabbing, so he is on gel, antibiotics and Piriton, with Malaseb shampooing.  Then last week I noticed he seemed particularly stiff in his legs.  A few weeks ago he had a particularly rough playfight with a friend of his and I think things went too far and he got hurt.  He ended up really telling off his friend and since then when any dog attempts to get on his back or push him he really flares up.  Last week he dodged my attempt to grab him and instead dived under a hedge (in search of turd of course).  I heard a yelp and I think he may have hurt his back.  When he went to the vet on Monday she confirmed pain in his back, legs and neck and he is on Rimadyl.  When we were out walking on the Friday prior to the vet appointment his back leg and front leg werent exactly giving way, but he was limping
very badly.  We have the basset welfare waddle this Sunday and we are going along for the first half an hour just to meet up and then leaving before the walk, and I will be making sure he doesnt do his usual trick of using other bassets as a wheelbarrow (why does he do that?  he doesnt do it to any other dogs, just bassets?!?)
We would like to send drool to all who need it right now, and just to leave things on a happier note (sorry for the gloom!) here is His Nibbs with dearly beloved (dead, biscuit-like) frog: (frog is the dark blob that he picks up in his mouth, yeeeucch!)
