[Dailydrool] Basset Waddle (aka the London Marathon)

Thanks for the pics from the "London Marathon".  It's always such a treat to see "gaggles of bassets".  How could anyone look on one of these shots and not giggle?

 

I have always been intrigued by Sally's Rolph and his long hair.  I think he's beautiful.  I actually ran into a long-haired basset once here in Missouri.  Can anyone tell me, is long hair a considered a fault?  How is a long-haired basset produced?  I know there aren't many of them, but they certainly make a splash!
