[Dailydrool] Vinny's Birthday

Friday the 13th is my Vinny's birthday. Vin will be 7 years old.I got Vinny from Pam Chandler of "Bossanova Bassets", in California. In Oct. 2003, I had lost my Grace to cancer and knew I could not be bassetless.I knew Pam had a litter from the Drool and her website so I inquired if she had any show prospects,long story short, she sent Vinny to Pennsylvania  on November 1,2003. We picked him up at Washington /Dulles airport after a two hour delay in Atlanta ,poor boy was in the crate about twelve hours. None the worse for the trip he fell asleep on my chest on the two hour drive home. Vinny didn't grow up to be my show boy but he still grew up to be my boy. He was very smart from the beginning,housetrained easily. Vinny has gotten along with any other dog I have brought into my home.His personality is so great ,he is funny,not a mean bone in his body.I just love him like crazy. He is the reason the word "Smooshey" was added to the Drool dictionary. A few droolers have been fortunate enough to meet Vinny and fall in love with him. He is turning grey on his face now but his heart is still youthful,I hope to have him quite a few years more. Thank you Pam I am more than grateful  you trusted me with him. He helped me  get through the time of losing two so close together,he is a very special boy.
