Sally, I loved the pictures from the England Basset Fun Day...All those adorable bassests!  Thank you for sharing, I needed the smile, and giggles that seeing the pics gave me. 

Becky...Thank you for sharing the article.  I guess that I and most basset slaves would have to be right brain dominant.  hehe.

Giving pills: Ruger is one of those that will spit pills out no matter what it is wrapped in.  However I have found that all natural peanut butter and the Greenie's brand pill pockets will work on disguising the meds enough for him to take them.  just make make sure that all of the pill is covered in PB or the pill pocket (seal up the open end with your fingers).  I hope this helps for  medicating those difficult hounds.

Colt woofing in: Momma is threatening to put dad in a rubber suit like the self defense trainers wear. Apparently dad had just been cleared by the doc for his head and neck injury to return to duty. Dad goes out to supervise some water training and slipped and fell in the boat landing on the cornor of some equipment and now had banged up his back!  Good news is that nothing is broke, bad news is that well his back is banged up and he is back on pain meds. Good thing momma went with the girls this weekend to buy more wine, Dad is driving her to drink!!!.  Anyhowl, if you could spare a little back healing drool for our dad we'd sure appreciate it. Oh yeah...Mom said that she has changed his operating initials from SZ to KZ for Klutz.  BAHWAHAAA!
