Our little foster, Angel, will be moving on this weekend. I knew our time
with this little sweetie was going to be short but I'm not ready for her to
move on yet. As glad as I am that we've saved another hound and found them a
wonderful home, I always cry when our foster dogs move on to their new
family. Some touch my heart a little more than others and Angel is going to
be one of those. So we'll be giving this wonderful bundle of little basset
to her new family this weekend and she will bring so much joy into their
home. It seems to get harder and harder to let our foster dogs move on. It's
not that we don't want to share these wonderful hounds that come to us but
we have yet to have a basset hound in our house that we didn't fall in love
with. Of course, we've already foster failed three times! If I could grow
another hand we'd be foster failing this time too but, until the DH and I
have a fifth hand, we can't foster fail again.

And then there are the buppies that BaRCSE has! Talk about wanting to foster
fail! I haven't even gotten my hands on these little guys and I'd like to
bring them all home with me! Those long, silky ears, puppy breath, roly poly
squirmy bodies! It's a good thing the DH and I aren't fostering any of them
because we'd never let them leave! We have some new pictures of the puppies
on our website at barcse.org if you'd like to see how much they've grown.
What a bunch of cuties!

BaRCSE has been invited to walk with our hounds in the Christmas Parade in
Columbia, SC this coming Saturday morning and we'd like to invite anyone
with a crowd friendly basset hound to come and walk with us if you're in the
area. It should be a lot of fun to show off our hounds and to promote
rescue. If you would like specific information, please send us a note to
barcsemail at gmail.com and we'll give you the details. Plus the puppies and
their mom, Abby, will be there too. We're all looking forward to this event.

I've talked to Angel's new mom quite a lot over the last couple of weeks and
she is so happy and excited to have Angel coming to her. She is already in
love with her and she hasn't even met Angel yet! I know this is the perfect
situation for this sweet little hound so I won't shed too many tears this
weekend. Boy, we sure will miss her though!
